Microsoft Outlook comes bundled into the Microsoft Office Suite along with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and others. For this tutorial, we have used MS Office 2013 but the procedure should be able to work on MS Office 2016 and previous versions.
Hataricloud mail connects to MS Outlook via IMAP/POP3 standards. These are merely email protocols that email clients like Outlook use to talk to eMail services such as Hataricloud Mail.
So let’s get started!
Press the Windows Button and look for Outlook in Programs.
When you open Outlook, a window will appear as shown above. Click Next
Select ‘Manual setup or additional server types’ and click Next
Select POP or IMAP and click Next
Enter your Name and HatariCloud Email Address as shown in the above example.
Select IMAP as Account Type
type mail.hataricloud.com for both Incoming and Outgoing mail servers
Enter your HatariCloud Username and Password
Place a tick on ‘Require Logon using Secure Password Authentication
Click on ‘More Settings…”
Select the Outgoing Server tab
Place a tick on ‘My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication’
A new popup window will appear
Select SSL type of encrypted connection for both Incoming and Outgoing servers
Use ports 993 for IMAP/Incoming and port 465 for SMTP/Outgoing
MS Outlook will test your new connection.
Close the Test Account Settings after it successfully completes
Success! Click Finish (If you have other accounts to add, repeat the procedure)
Now you can enjoy HatariCloud Mail on your desktop with a click of a button.
